Your Path to Treatment,
Step by Step
-
Share Your Symptoms and Health History
Getting started begins with a short online health form. You’ll walk through your current symptoms, health goals, and relevant medical history, including any past diagnoses your physician should know about, such as blood clots, heart attack or stroke, high blood pressure, kidney disease, or prostate cancer.
-
Complete Your Labs
Next, you'll complete blood work at one of LabCorp or Quest locations nationwide. Your lab order will be there waiting for you. The lab fee is included in your initial consultation.
-
Meet With Your Physician
During a phone consultation, your physician reviews your personal and family history along with your lab results to identify what's driving your symptoms, then builds a hormone therapy plan around your goals and health profile.
-
Start and Maintain Treatment
Once your plan is set, your medication and supplies ship straight to your door. Your physician orders follow-up labs and checks in on your symptoms to fine-tune your dose. Once your ideal dose is established, plan on a repeat blood test and follow-up about every six months.
Labs & Ongoing Monitoring
Blood work is required before starting treatment so your physician can make medically appropriate decisions about your care. Labs are ordered digitally, and you complete the blood draw at a LabCorp or Quest location near you.
Depending on your age and medical history, your panel may include total testosterone, complete blood counts (CBC), prostate levels (PSA), and kidney function (CMP). Your physician walks you through what each result means in plain language and how it connects to your treatment plan.
Ongoing monitoring matters just as much as the first test. Plan on blood work after your first 2 months of treatment, again at 6 months, and once yearly after that, though your physician may adjust this based on how your body responds.
If you’ve had recent labs drawn, typically within the last 6 months, that include the relevant markers, your physician may be able to use them to speed up your intake. Our care team can help you upload those results.
